The Garden Remembers explores how memories of our homeland continue to live within us after immigration. Using translucent layers, palette-knife textures, dry brushwork and long gestural strokes, the artist creates a garden suspended between reality and memory.
The plants remain recognisable, while the background dissolves into layers of blue, gold, violet and shadow. Some areas are clearly defined; others have been scraped, softened or partially covered, reflecting how certain memories remain vivid while others change with time.
The painting reminds us that when we leave our homeland, we do not leave it completely. We carry an emotional version of it within us - not exactly as it was, but as the heart has chosen to remember it.

El jardín recuerda explora cómo los recuerdos de nuestra tierra continúan viviendo dentro de nosotros después de emigrar. Mediante capas translúcidas, texturas creadas con espátula, pincel seco y largos trazos gestuales, el artista construye un jardín suspendido entre la realidad y la memoria.
Las plantas aún pueden reconocerse, mientras el fondo se disuelve en capas de azul, dorado, violeta y sombra. Algunas zonas están claramente definidas; otras han sido raspadas, suavizadas o parcialmente cubiertas, reflejando cómo ciertos recuerdos permanecen vivos mientras otros se transforman con el tiempo.
La obra nos recuerda que cuando dejamos nuestra tierra no la abandonamos por completo. Llevamos dentro de nosotros una versión emocional de ella: no exactamente como fue, sino como el corazón ha decidido recordarla.
